About Me

I'm a Welsh girl who was brought up on  a farm on the west coast of Wales with  beef cattle, sheep and Welsh cob horses. As a young girl with my two sisters we spent the summers showing our ponies. As a teenager I started showing Jacob Sheep very successfully.

At college I studied catering followed by a three year bakery course in Cardiff. My passion was cake decorating so while working for a small craft bakery I studied a further 2 years advanced sugarcraft. While at college I  successfully entered bakery and sugarcraft exhibitions.

I was also a finalist in the British Bakers Baking Industry Awards student baker of the year.

Following college I worked in various bakeries and sugarcraft establishments gaining valuable experience. I was extremely lucky to spend 3 months working in a small family bakery near Munich followed by a sugarcraft teaching post in South  Wales.

In 1995 I moved from the west coast of Wales to the east coast of England. Here I met my husband Gavin and we had our two boys now aged 5 and 7.

With the support of my family and my youngest son who started school last September  my dream of starting up my own business  has become a reality.
